Today's workout turns its focus onto the recovery portion of our stroke. A focus that gets lost on a lot of swimmers. We don't spend as much time as we should thinking about maintaining a high elbow during the recovery phase of our freestyles, instead, I watch swimmers do all sorts of things. For example, some swimmers use a straight arm recovery then drop their elbows at the catch of their stroke. So this week's workout is focused on keeping our elbows high even as our stroke fatigues.
